Inspired by nature, we'll help you grow

Chelsea Petersen

I was born and raised in Newstead, where my love for nature, creativity, and community shaped my personal and professional life. I’m passionate about gardening and growing my own food—a connection to the land that grew even stronger during my time in New Zealand, where I cared for a rural homestead and cultivated a thriving fruit and vegetable garden. Living closely with nature was deeply grounding and has become a guiding influence in how I support others.

Professionally, I’ve worked in the education system as an Education Support Officer, supporting children with neurodiversities. Much of my work was 1:1, which taught me the importance of building strong, trusting connections so that individuals feel safe, supported, and understood. Through this role, I also gained a deep appreciation for how diverse people’s needs truly are, and how essential it is to approach each person with empathy, flexibility, and a trauma-informed mindset.

I later worked as a Garden Educator at a kindergarten, where I helped children use the garden as a calming and enriching space—one that supported emotional regulation, problem-solving, and a deeper connection to nature. This role beautifully combined my passions for education, wellbeing, and the outdoors.

I’m trained as a yoga teacher, including trauma-informed yoga, and am currently studying Art Therapy. Both practices reflect my belief in the healing power of creativity, movement, and mindfulness. I strive to create safe, respectful, and supportive environments where people feel empowered to grow and express themselves authentically.

Outside of work, I love cooking, gardening, painting, sewing, beading—and I’ve recently started learning to play the drums! I bring a kind, gentle nature to everything I do and love finding the joy, silliness, and playfulness in everyday life.

I hold a current NDIS worker screening check, First Aid certificate, Working with Children check and I have full comprehensive car insurance.
