Mia Prado

Hi my name is Mia.

I am 25 years old and live in Castlemaine. I have lived here most of my life. I love my family and care for them all deeply. One of my favourite things to do is visiting my mum’s farm to see the goats and chickens as well as going for long walks in the bush.

I have always been a people person, as I am compassionate and kind hearted. I have a bubbly, and down to earth personality and love helping people in any way I can. It’s just in my nature. NDIS support work feels like a good fit for me. I find people inspiring with their own unique stories and love to support them. I thrive in helping people to achieve their goals hoping to bring positivity and joy to their lives.

My greatest passion in life is animals. I have always loved them, growing up with dogs, chickens, guinea pigs and various reptiles. I love horses and have always loved caring for them. I believe people and animals can share such an amazing bond built on trust and acceptance.

Up till now I have worked in childcare, aged care, wildlife rescue and on my Mum’s farm. Each of these jobs has given me a place to express my care and compassion for people, animals and nature. I believe these have given me a strong foundation to be a resourceful support worker with a caring nature.

I can offer a diverse range of support depending on the individual’s needs.

I hold a current NDIS worker screening check, First Aid certificate, Working with Children check and I have full comprehensive car insurance.
