Darcy Woods
I have recently returned home from living in outback NSW and the QLD Border. I have had the pleasure of experiencing remote living and work environment with rural farm life.
Returning to my home town to be around family (mum, dad, older brother and younger sister) and friends is important as I will be adding to my family in March 2024, as well as my 3 miniature Daschounds Willow, Tex and Cobber.
After leaving school in year 11 completing a pre-apprenticeship in electrical, I returned to school to finish my education completing year 12 VCAL in 2015, I then went on to complete a 4 year apprenticeship as an Refrigeration and Airconditioning Tech, remaining on the tools for several years after completing my apprenticeship.
My interests include movies, music (a wide variety) cooking, camping, connecting with the outdoors, being close to water, sports (netball, basketball, and football) and walking my dogs.
A move interstate seeing me follow my dreams of “Helping, Nurturing and Connecting” with individuals as I retrained as a disability support worker. I love interacting with people of all ages, disabilities and special needs. I am committed to assisting participants, providing 1: 1 support, respite everyday tasks and appointments.
I have a current NDIS Worker Screening Check, First Aid and CPR, Working with Children’s Check and Comprehensive car insurance. I also have multiple licences medium rigid truck and boat.
