Michelle Parsons

I was a Castlemaine local, having been born there and lived there until I moved to the Sunshine Coast, Queensland with my two young children. I have now been on the Sunshine Coast for eleven and a half years but still have family and friend ties to my home town. My girls are 16 and 12.

I have a degree in Graphic Design and I am currently studying Law at the University of the Sunshine Coast. I love being creative but also love business and never-ending learning. I love to get out in nature and love to ‘climb’ (or hike up) a couple of the mountains that the Sunshine Coast is fortunate to have. I often say that Mount Coolum is my happy place. I also love hiking through the beautiful rainforests that I am fortunate to live close to.

I am passionate about helping people and have had a first-hand view of the disability sector in the last couple of years, with my daughter facing a significant health challenge and having to use a mobility aid for 5 months. We saw the complexity, difficulties and discrimination that people with disabilities face and it has inspired not only myself but my daughter to advocate and make positive changes in this area.

In my ‘free’ time I love doing jigsaw puzzles, crafting and making things with my Cricut machine, reading, going to the movies and out for coffee, exploring second hand bookshops, tennis, fire pit afternoons with my family where we toast marshmallows and make damper, and going to IKEA!!

I am so excited and extremely grateful to be a part of the ENTITY Eco Therapy Team and look forward to what the future brings.
